The Makita 18 Volt LXT® Brushless Cordless Planer is a perfect tool for any door installers, finish carpenters, deck installers and general contractors. The planer can plane 3-1/4″ wide and 1/8 Inch deep surfaces in a single pass with rabbet up to 1″ deep. The aluminum base gives better stability and accuracy. Three chamfering grooves make it easy and convenient to use. It is powered by a brushless motor that eliminates carbon brushes and operates at a speed of 12,000 RPM. User can adjust the planning depth with the help of a click-depth knob, which features an easy-to-read scale with settings from 0 to 7/64″. The Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS) uses Bluetooth technology to communicate between the tool and the dust extractor better. For increased productivity, the planer features a blade setting mechanism facilitates quicker blade installation and an electric brake. Integrated Star Protection technology helps in preventing overheating, over-discharging and overloading of the battery. Automatic speed change mechanism helps in adjusting the speed and torque while operating. Two-blade cutter head delivers sharp and accurate results. The ergonomic design and the soft grip on the handle prevent fatigue and improve user comfort.
