The Wilton hammer expands and mushrooms before striking material for greater efficiency. The head is made from drop forged steel and has a soft face for superior strength. The head and handle of the Wilton B.A.S.H sledge hammer are securely connected by a safety plate to prevent the head from dislodging. Its neck is thick and tapered and designed to absorb vibration to increase comfort and decrease fatigue during use. The handle of this 12-pound sledge hammer is made of vulcanized rubber to provide a no-slip surface for a more stable grip. It has a lanyard hole to allow the user to secure the tool to their wrist or a stationary object.
